Massachusetts laws prohibit the acceptance of business or corporate checks. Money orders can be accepted in the amount of $100 or less. Cash donations still cannot exceed $50. An individual may contribute up to a maximum of $1,000 per candidate in a calendar year. Contributions to the Muratore Committee are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
